International Travellers

From 2025 onwards, everyone wishing to travel to the UK – except British and Irish citizens – will need permission to travel in advance of arriving. This can be either through an ETA or an eVisa.

It is each delegates personal responsibility to check entry requirements to the UK.

ETAs are digitally linked to a traveller’s passport and ensure more robust security checks are carried out before people begin their journey to the UK. An ETA costs £10 and permits multiple journeys to the UK for stays of up to 6 months at a time over 2 years or until the holder’s passport expires.

An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status and the conditions of your permission to enter or stay in the UK. You need to create a UKVI account to be able to access your eVisa.

Updating your physical document to an eVisa does not affect your immigration status or the conditions of your permission to enter or stay in the UK.

Please find more information on digital travel here.
