WiN Global have curated three Technical and Cultural Tours across Thursday 17 and Friday 18 July which you can purchase separately.

You can purchase your chosen tours when you go through the registration process. If you would like to add a tour after you have registered, you can edit your booking through your account, found in your confirmation email.

Tour One: United Kingdom Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA)

This tour at the Culham Campus offers a rare and exciting opportunity to witness firsthand the groundbreaking work being done in fusion energy by the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA). We’ll start the day with an engaging talk about the basics of fusion energy, including its potential to provide a sustainable, low-carbon energy source for the future. This will be followed by a tour of the facility where you will be given the opportunity to explore a host of cutting edge technology.

Tour Two: Harwell Science and Innovation Campus

This tour provides a fascinating opportunity to explore cutting-edge nuclear science and technology, as well as the legacy of the UK's pioneering nuclear research. It will give you an in-depth look at both the history and future of nuclear technology and research, along with opportunities to see firsthand some of the most advanced scientific techniques and infrastructure in the world today.

Tour Three: The Science Museum

The Science Museum in London is a treasure trove of knowledge and innovation, offering a unique blend of history and cutting-edge technology. You have the flexibility to decide how long you want to stay, whether you want to dive deep into the exhibits or explore just a section before heading off to Harrods or another part of the city. The Science Museum is not only a great place to learn but also an inspiring environment that makes science feel both approachable and exciting.

Cultural Tours

Tour One: The Walking Tour

This walking tour is a wonderful way to experience the heart of London, especially if you're keen on discovering the iconic landmarks of the West End. Led by friendly, knowledgeable English-speaking volunteers, this bespoke route takes you through some of the city’s most famous and historically significant areas. Highlights from the tour include Big Ben and the Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, The Mall, Trafalgar Square, The Horse Guards Parade and Downing Street. 

Tour Two: The Boat Tour

A fantastic way to experience the heart of London! Starting with the Thames cruise, you'll get a unique view of some of the city's most iconic landmarks. The route from Westminster Pier to Tower Bridge will let you take in the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, St. Paul's Cathedral, and of course, the majestic Tower Bridge.

Tour Three: The Bus Tour

Experience the best of the city with our unique combined tour! This combined bus and walking tour offers a fantastic way to experience the best of London in an engaging way. Starting with the iconic red open-top bus, you'll get a great introduction to the city's major landmarks, all from a comfortable vantage point with panoramic views. The prerecorded commentary will guide you through the city's rich history and give you insights into the places you'll be passing by. After this scenic bus tour, and exploration of Covent Garden, we’ll move to the walking portion of the tour. This gives you a chance to get closer to some of London’s most exciting and dynamic spots that the bus can't reach. Highlights from the tour include St Paul's Cathedral, the Tower of London, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace!
