1. Eligibility to participate in the Innovation Arena Competition 2026
Innovations that have been exhibited in the Innovation Arena at the National Championships in the past are not eligible, unless they have a substantial redesign from the original innovation.
Applications can be submitted from Enterprise Ireland client companies, LEO Client companies and all other relevant Industry stakeholders
Innovations must be fully developed and ready for showcasing at the Innovation Arena.
Entry to the competition is adjudicated by a panel, where each application is evaluated on eligibility and suitability to the competition for the applicant and the competition
The competition is focused on innovative development in the AgriTech sector
2. Young Innovators
If you are under 18 years of age on the date of application, your guardian must complete and submit the application on your behalf.
A guardian must accompany any applicant under 18 years of age at all stages of the competition and in the Innovation Arena.
3. AgTech Hub
The Agtech hub will focus on previous applicants to the competition. This will be a dedicated space within the Innovation Arena, allowing previous winners and applicants to build on their identity and brand. This area is dedicated to companies who are not entering an innovation for 2026 but have entered the competition in the last 10 years.
The ideal applicant will be a previous winner scaling their company. If you were not a category award winner but participated in the Innovation Arena, you are eligible to enter.
Space will not be guaranteed and offered on a first come first served basis
There are no awards in this category.
4. Acceptance as an Exhibitor in the Innovation Arena
Successful applicants will be offered a place in the Innovation Arena subject to the following.
4.1 Insurances
All exhibitors must provide confirmation from their insurance broker/company that they have the following in place:
Employer’s Liability Insurance – limit of indemnity is €13,000,000 in any one occurrence. It is mandatory to have employer’s liability insurance cover in place if you have any assistance or help (whether paid or voluntary).
Public/Product Liability – limit of indemnity of €2,600,000 for any one occurrence. It is mandatory that there is insurance cover in place for your legal liability to members of the public or their property.
Period of cover must include the full duration of the National Ploughing Championships including prior and subsequent days for setting up and removal of the exhibition stands.
Insurances must include specific indemnity to the National Ploughing Association of Ireland Ltd.
4.2 Exhibitor Fees
All exhibitors must pay the appropriate fee based on the space allocated to them.
- Start Up Booth: €700
- Start Up Machinery 3x3: €700
- Start Up Machinery Large: €800
- Established Booth: €800
- Established Machinery 3x3: €800
- Machinery Large: €900
- AgTech Hub: €800
Power,WIFI & furniture will be provided to exhibitors.
Please note that only the product described in your application may be displayed. Your location in the Innovation Arena will be at the discretion of Enterprise Ireland and the NPA.
